Nu'u o Samoa Las Vegas, inspired by the meaning "Village of Samoa," is a community-driven organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating Samoan culture, heritage, and values. Through cultural events, education, sports programs, and scholarships, we empower our people-especially the next generation- to embrace their identity, strengthen unity, and elevate the Samoan presence in Las Vegas and beyond.

Meet The Team

HC Taito Motusimalo Alston

President- With over 25 years of service, Taito Motusi is a highly respected leader committed to community empowerment and cultural preservation. Her deep connections within the Polynesian and Asian communities have helped bridge cultural gaps and foster unity. As President of Nu’u o Samoa Las Vegas, she leads with vision, dedication, and a passion for service, ensuring Samoan traditions continue to thrive for future generations.

Tofuola Tiatia Alofipo

Sponsorship & Event Operations- As the driving force behind event logistics, Tofu plays a critical role in securing sponsors, venues, and team participation for our festivals and cultural events. She oversees financial coordination, ensuring that businesses, teams, and individuals fulfill their commitments, allowing each event to run seamlessly. Her expertise in event planning and coordination ensures that every detail is executed flawlessly, providing an unforgettable experience for all involved.

Tusi Brown Liti

Marketing, Communications & Compliance- Tusi oversees marketing, digital engagement, and strategic partnerships, ensuring strong community outreach and event visibility. She manages website operations, social media, and promotional initiatives while ensuring all contracts, policies, and registrations comply with state and federal regulations. Her expertise in event governance and operational efficiency helps maintain the organization’s credibility and success.

Teuila Alofipo

Cultural Advocate & Content Strategist – Teuila is dedicated to empowering the Samoan diaspora and fostering inclusivity. She advocates for the representation of all individuals, regardless of language fluency or mixed heritage. Through content creation and education, she bridges cultural gaps, helping everyone with Samoan ancestry feel proud and connected to their heritage.

Lesa Brown

Outreach & Collaboration- Lesa plays a key role in expanding the reach of Nu’u o Samoa Las Vegas by fostering community engagement and strategic partnerships. She works to promote organizational events, build meaningful collaborations, and strengthen connections that enhance the visibility and impact of the organization.

HC Punasautoa Lesa Salatielu Tito

Community Liaison & Cultural Advocate- Punasautoa uses her bilingual translation skills to bridge communication gaps and is deeply committed to preserving Pacific Island heritage. She plays a key role in sustaining cultural programs, language initiatives, and educational opportunities for future generations.

Faasuamalieiupu "Sweetie" Brown

Treasurer & Outreach – With a strong background in accounting and community outreach, Sweetie ensures the financial health of our organization while fostering community engagement. Her dedication to both financial stewardship and outreach helps sustain cultural and educational initiatives for future generations.

HC Tapumanaia Jake Levale

Chief Cultural Officer-

Born in Westminster, CA and raised by his grandmother Anna Vaitaʻiotamaliʻi Buttel, Jake Levale’s foundation in faith, language, and culture was established early. Fluent in Gagana Sāmoa, he gave his first si‘i at 11 and was bestowed the Tapumanaia title at 15. His passion for Samoan oratory and tradition has guided his lifelong service to the community.

Jake served a full-time mission in Sāmoa, is a current translator for the LDS Church’s Samoan hymnal project, and works as a Funeral Director for Palm Mortuaries, supporting families with compassion and cultural respect. As Chief Cultural Officer, he leads Nuʻu o Samoa’s efforts to preserve and elevate faʻa Sāmoa for the next generation.
